School context

Harlowbury Primary School is a one form entry primary school with an enhanced provision for Speech, Language and Communication Needs in Old Harlow Essex. The school has 198 children on role including 15 in the Speech and Language Centre. Overall the school has 20% on the SEND register, 23% with English as an additional language and 17% having Free School Meals, although our Pupil Premium children are 24% of our school population. The school is a member of Templefields Multi Academy Trust.

School goals and ambitions

We hope to have a whole school vision for and understanding of pupil well-being and ensure that all members of our school community have an increased awareness of how to support each other with mental health and well-being. This includes the parents, some of whom are "hard to reach" with advice and support.We hope to upskill all teachers and support staff in supporting the well-being and mental and emotional help of our pupils and offer support to the parents about well-being and emotional health.
