The school might like to consider implementing robust impact measurements when implementing new initiatives in school, in order to demonstrate real change without relying too heavily on anedotal evidence. The school plans to do this with the newly-introduced Lego Therapy.

Overall comments
The portfolio of evidence shows the school's intent to improve children's health and wellbeing across the whole school and into the future. The school's efforts in this vital area have meant that the community in its entirety has benefitted from all the consistent work that has transpired since starting the award process. The dedication from staff and support from parents/carers has ensured that pupil wellbeing has a high profile across the school and is linked closely to other areas of school life.

It is clear that the school has implemented several opportunities in which the whole-school community can participate and the reports reflect that pupils find value in these opportunities, as well as that their awareness about wellbeing has been raised. The use of worry boxes has meant that children feel more able to share their feelings (not just worries) with their teachers and have them responded to in a timely way.

The school has provided opportunities for children to learn about wellbeing across different aspects of the curriculum, particularly in PSHE. The inclusion of mindfulness opportunities across the school has ensured that children and adults alike have noted the benefits that being mindful can bring to wellbeing and to learning.

The enhanced training provision for staff has meant that they now feel more confident and competent to support children in a variety of ways. The school has plans to ensure this continues over time as they have already noted the positive impact on staff and children alike.

Pupils are involved in Wild Worship and Wellbeing Wednesdays and their efforts have been well met by the school community. Pupils enjoy being involved and taking on more responsibility in this important aspect of school life.
